The Shermans would like to announce that they will be taking an indefinite hiatus, due to musical similarities.

This is all on good terms and we will be playing (after London this weekend) three more gigs.

These will be:

11th Feb @ King Tuts, Glasgow
19th Feb @ Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh

The final gig will be at Cape, Stirling. The details for this gig will be announced shortly.

Thanks to all our friends, family and fans for your support over the years. Also a big thanks to Tommy Hamilton and anyone who has helped us through the duration.

Ho ho ho

Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fatter and in the giving spirit which comes this time of year, the shermans have decided to give you two presents.

‘What is it you say?’ before shaking the box trying to guess what’s inside.

Well it’s two new recordings, which you can download for your listening pleasure and play to your hearts content on an i-pod or another mp3 player which is available on the market.

‘Is that all?’ you’ll say

‘Well its better than a pair of socks or a lump of coal’ we’d reply.

On other band news, we’ll be playing at the Donner inn in Denny on Christmas Eve and at McQs on Boxing Day. The Donner inn gig is free and the McQs gig is £7 a ticket, which you can get off the band. Also on a sad

Afternoon troopers!

It’s been a wee while since we’ve posted on this so we thought we’d update you on what’s been happening and what the coming month has in store.

We’ve been in the practice room putting the finishing touches to 5 new numbers (of which we’re rather excited about) which should start to see the light of day at gigs late this month.

More recently we had a couple of long distance jaunts to Dunoon and Elgin to promote the good name Sherman. Elgin, in particular, can be noted for its wonderful hospitality!

We’re looking forward to gigs this month and obviously Stirling Castle on Hogmanay this year presents us with our biggest gig to date. It’s £15 a ticket but as it’s a cargo job, it’s as close as we will get to the glory days of the Fanky Hut!
McQs in Bannockburn on Boxing Day includes a cracking line-up, including Falkirk’s finest, The Ray Summers. This will sell out as anyone at our Boxing Day bash last year will testify, so send us a message / request tickets on the gig page soon if you want tickets.

A headline slot at PJs in Fife on the 11th and the Donner on Xmas eve should make a very exciting December for all involved.
